WELCOME TO OUR NEW TERM ROBINS!

We are really looking forward to getting to know our new Robins this term and playing and learning together. Here are some photos of our first few days together...

Welcome to Foundation Stage!

We've been very busy this week, shadow drawing, painting on different textures, retelling our story 'Commotion in the Ocean' by using sea creatures and finally...the water wall has been out - hooray!

We've travelled under the sea...

In Forest School we used natural materials to make 'Under the Sea' pictures.

In Jigsaw we have been naming our body parts and thinking about what jobs they do for us.

Happy Royal Jubilee - some of our knights singing and mark making together!

Well done everyone in Early Years for achieving a Healthy Smiles accreditation! We're all smiling now!

New Outdoor Challenge Station.

A huge thank you to Mr and Mrs Priddle for making us a wonderful Outdoor Challenge Station. We love choosing from different challenges to have a go. It is really good fun and we are very lucky!

Cross Country!

The Robins took part in a cross country run and all did extremely well. They also then enjoyed going to watch, and cheer on, the older children's cross country running too! Some of the photos are blurry as we were running SO fast!

Relaxing Robins.

After lunch we calm down and relax by listening to stories, looking at books or listening to relaxing music.

Arts Week!

We have created the lion from our story 'Going on a Lion Hunt' - we hope you love him as much as we do! We feel very proud of ourselves!

We have also enjoyed using our recycling to make our own junk models! Can you guess what they are?

We love the way Jackson Pollock paints! It is great fun...have a go at home...!

23.3.22 Please note...

A major pharmacy-led health and beauty retailer are handing out free oral hygiene products to those in need.

‘Ask for Jesse’ is a new campaign fronted by Boots, aimed at helping to close the poverty gap by assisting vulnerable families.

Working in collaboration with The Hygiene Bank, customers can simply ‘ask for Jesse’ when in store. A member of the Boots team will discreetly provide oral hygiene products to customers with children aged three to five years old.

The Hygiene Bank is a grass roots, community initiative aimed at giving hygiene, personal care and household cleaning products to those in need across the UK.

Last week we enjoyed going up to the big field. We played What's the time Mr Wolf?, Follow my leader and different games using the parachute. We had to be really good at listening and following instructions. We had lots of fun.

Spring has sprung!

Dreams and Goals - Jigsaw

Triceratops has been out and about spotting those of us who are trying to do things really well! Some of us are trying to put our shoes on, some of us trying to do our zips up and some of us trying new areas in Nursery! We keep hearing cries of "I did it!" Keep them coming Robins!

All of Early Years enjoyed trying Sweet and Sour noodles with bamboo shoots, red and yellow peppers and prawn crackers! There was none left for the staff! They also enjoyed listening to traditional Chinese music and spoke about how it made them feel.

We could not stop watching the reindeers and laughing at them!

Once Father Christmas had flown past we wondered if his sleigh had broken down so decided we'd make a fantastic new sleigh out of our loose parts!

We also left some food out for any hungry reindeers and Mrs Priddle hid her camera - JUST IN CASE....

Father Christmas' fly past!!

We loved our walk to St Leonards Church to visit the Christmas Tree Festival

We are very proud of our Remembrance Day poppies.

Can you make fantastic patterns like we can?

Watch out Mrs Priddle!

Anyone for a potion?

Healthy Teeth!

It was great to meet the dentist today via Zoom. The Robins and Hedgehogs classes joined together; listened beautifully and asked some excellent questions.

We hope you found the free toothpaste useful. If your child needs a little help to brush for two minutes twice a day you could try sharing the song below. Have fun!

Mark making mania!

Thank you to all the parents who supported us at our Early Years curriculum event on Tuesday.  We hope this gave you an insight into your child's time in nursery and our playful approach to learning!  For those who couldn't make it, please find attached the slides. We have added an additional link, below, which you may find useful.
