Dreamcatchers
Year 6 have been learning about Native American tribes and the traditional objects they created using natural materials. We discovered how items like dreamcatchers were made and the important meanings behind them.
After learning about these fascinating objects, the pupils had a chance to make their own! Everyone enjoyed creating their own dreamcatchers using hoops, string, feathers, and beads. Some pupils designed colourful patterns in their webs, while others added special beads to make their dreamcatchers unique.
It was wonderful to see everyone so engaged and proud of their creations. The activity helped the class understand how traditional objects were not just practical, but also full of meaning and culture.
